Summary: Danger, betrayal, and enchantment abound in the riveting conclusion to the #1 New York Times bestselling Infernal Devices trilogy.

THE INFERNAL DEVICES WILL NEVER STOP COMING

A net of shadows begins to tighten around the Shadowhunters of the London Institute. Mortmain plans to use his Infernal Devices, an army of pitiless automatons, to destroy the Shadowhunters. He needs only one last item to complete his plan: he needs Tessa Gray.

Charlotte Branwell, head of the London Institute, is desperate to find Mortmain before he strikes. But when Mortmain abducts Tessa, the boys who lay equal claim to her heart, Will and Jem, will do anything to save her. As those who love Tessa rally to rescue her from Mortmain’s clutches, Tessa realizes that the only person who can save her is herself. But can a single girl, even one who can command the power of angels, face down an entire army?

The tangled threads of love and loss intertwine as the Shadowhunters are pushed to the very brink of destruction in the breathtaking conclusion to the Infernal Devices trilogy.

My Review:
Here it is. The epic conclusion to The Infernal Devices trilogy. Also known as: my undoing.

Clare has truly reached the heights of her writing career with Clockwork Princess. It is everything a breathtaking book, the fitting end to an amazing trilogy should be. Everything and so much more.

Tessa and her friends are faced with dark horizons, dangerous situations, and heartbreaking choices. Will and Jem are just as soul wrenching as ever with their beautiful faces and damaged spirits. The gripping plot is another added bonus.

The setting of Victorian London was impeccable. The reader is truly immersed in a world full of corsets and cold, wet, and dreary days. Sounds delightful doesn’t it?

The ending was perhaps not what all readers would hope for, but in my opinion it was the best ending you could ask for. It was truly satisfying and left hope for the future. It didn’t come out the way I expected it to, but that’s even better, isn’t it?

At some points I even found myself with tears dripping down my face just as I had with Clockwork Prince. Clare really makes you feel the character’s pain. You live through the moment as if you are there with them.

Clockwork Princess is a book I would recommend any day, to anyone. It was well worth the read and really surpassed my high expectations. (Mortal Instruments pt. 2, here I come!)
